    Advice on S775 P4....

So I am waiting for Conroe but the system I have cobbled together to keep me going is very unstable

I am thinking of getting all my conroe kit shipped along with a P4 to tide me over until the conroes finally ship.

Whats the most price-effective P4 to buy? It will be going in a 965 board (Asus P5B Deluxe) with some Corsair Twin2X XMS2 6400.......I am not looking for bleeding-edge performace but it does need to feed an X1900XTX at high resolution.

    Leaning towards the 541.....but I don't know much about the S775 P4s.

    TIA

I would have thought you'd be best off going with a 630 P4. Not too expensive and they clock nicely

Ours clocks to 4.2GHz no probs
