    lol.

I saw it on tomshardware once... madness.

If I was going to do it, I'd have to be a millionaire because I wouldn't want to waste the money!

Sounds fun though, will probably be great for a month or two... then you'll probably have to switch the fat....

Let me know in a few years time when your done with the parts... would be a very funny eBay auction... "here we have a very beautiful CPU covered in chipfat oil"

I discussed this on a different board, but we never came to a conclusion.

Has anyone thought about doing the "oil pc" thing, but then adding a water cooling pump connected to the actual case (rather than components) and seeing if the computer would further cool?

    We struggled because
#1 - would the oil cool enough to warrant the water cooling being usefeul?
#2 - would it have enough power to pump the water round the case

hehe, its not really a waste of good hardware, consider it still functions as it should. Its as much of a waste of hardware is as phase cooling, as you need to silicon-seal the block to the motherboard to stop condensation forming.

yeh he used to be registered as project_187 and he has some problems with something he sold to another member and was banned. the mods then noticed that he had re-registered with the name rainbow using Scans free shipping which is against the rules.

i think he'd been warned before about language as well
