    antec cable replacement

    Hey,,

Recently the elastic cables in my p150 that suspend the hard drive's have all snapped!
luckily my drive's seem to be ok *phew*
but now of course i want some sort of replacement, and I saw in a recent review they have better cables now that don't snap as easily.
Has anyone else been able to get replacements for your cables,, or used any other materials for it?
I e-mailed antec earlier in the week but the customer service havent replied yet
thanks to anyone who can help

I was getting a reply within a day from Antec.

They should replace the cables under warranty IMO.

I use round elastic in an Akasa Eclipse to suspend the HD.

Yep, if you e-mail them, with your invoice for your P150, they should send some upgraded suspension mounts to you ASAP.
If emailing the main Europe RMA address gets you nowhere, PM me, and I can give you the addresses of some of the CS Reps/Direct RMA department where you should be able to escalate your enquiry quickly.

Antec seem to have introduced an online ticketing system, which involves you having to enter your details there:

That's what happened when I tried to use the europe.rma@ address, so it's tempting to cut the **** and go straight to the CS Reps that I know.

Will give this ticketing system a try first though...if its prompt...fair enough

i used there ticketing service and they told me they don't have any bands in stock but they do have the extra length screws for the hard drive tray's, however that is not as quiet, which is kind of essential to my silent pc do you think they actually don't have any in stock? cause that seems kind of unlikely to me :S
    What would you all do?

I wouldn't be happy using the screws. Ask them when stock is due?

Otherwise get some rebate off them and use round elastic?

I haven't heard back on their ticketing system yet...I hate waiting more than a day for replies...
If I haven't heard anything by today...I'll be going a bit higher up to see what the situation is...I'll let you know how I get on.
