Creative HS-600 Microphone

For some reason the microphone doesnt seem to work when im playing Counter Strike Source, i am also unable to record speech through the sound recoder.

But when i test it using the 'Sound hardware Test Wizard' it work fine. Does anybody know what is wrong?

yeah go to control panel, sounds and audio devices, audio tab, click volume button on sound recording, ensure there is a tick in the box underneath the microphone volume slider

Ah yes thanks, it works. Also another problem that may have been causing that is that it was recording from my onbord sound and not my Xtreme Music Card

Happy to help, been helping 2 mates do the same thing over the weekend as they reformated their systems, not easy when they aren't all that pc tech minded and im tryin to type it to them.
