    help with my processor!!

    Hey, I am writing from my new system but I've ecountered a small problem I'm not sure how to fix.

    Basically my system recognizes my chip as being an Athlon X64 3000+ and not an Opteron 170. Its running it at 1.8 but my stock speed should be 2.0 on the opteron. How do I get my A8N32 mobo to recognize my opteron chip????

    possibly a bios flash? if its got an older bios it may not recognise opterons correctly...
