Thread: how to overclock my venice 3000+

    how to overclock my venice 3000+

    i have asrock dual sata board and i need desperalety to give it some more ooomph, i have tried overclock in bios ( i am no expert)
    but it doesnt work ( i think there is a lock on the multiplier... is there a bios upgrade out there that will let a novice like me crank up the power and unleash the beast !!!!!!

    Are you trying to increase the multiplier - only the FX series CPUs will allow you to do this.

    All other A64 CPUs need to be o/c'd using the CPU frequency, HT multiplier & RAM dividers. Sometimes additional Vcore is required.

    I strongly recommend that you do some reading up first though...

    Better to understand what you're doing before you start. Less chance of breaking something.
