    F_PANEL connections on EPIA SP13000

    Hi,

This is my first build so please be gentle with me!

I'm builing a system based on the VIA EPIA SP13000. I am trying to connect the front panel wires from my case to the motherboard F_PANEL pins. However, the manual doesn't make any sense to me.

For example, the manual states pin 4 is for the HD_LED. However, the HDD LED from the case has holes for 2 pins so how should I connect this?

Also, the silk screen printing for the F_PANEL on the board doesn't appear to correspond to the table in the manual. Which one is correct - the sil screen or the manual?

    Thanks for any replies.

Did your board come with a quick-start guide in the box? I found this much more useful than the pdf manual (for my CN10000) as it showed the actual headers in place.

    Hi Pealy,

It came with a manual that's exactly the same as the pdf manual on the CD.

all the LED's on the front of ur case have 2 pins as they need a positive voltage and a ground voltage to operate. look on the header closely and ull see one side is marked with a little arrow, thats the positive side

My problem is the diagram in the manual only seems to have label for 1 pin so am not sure where to put the 2 pins from the case.

Have a look at page 34 in the following manual and see if it makes any sense to you...

    via.com.tw/download/mainboards/3/4/EPIA-SP_v100.pdf

(Had to miss leave off the "www" as I haven't had eough posts to include URLs in my posts)

    You were right, Pealy.

I dug the box out and inside was the quick start guide which was indeed a lot clearer.

    Thanks, problem solved!
