nf7 help...
This is going to sound like a stupid question, but humour me on this one.
Ive just got my new abit nf7 board, xp2500 and ram. Wahey!
But... im having trouble installing the backing plate (i know  )
On the bottom ps2 port, theres a bit of metal sticking off. Do i snap this off? Does it have a purpose?
Help....!
-
is it in the way? can you safely bend it out of the way?
-
These can be bent back, or just snapped off. They dont do anything, except annoy me. I didnt take them off and spent ages wondering why i couldnt get the mouse in, grrr....
-
so you reckon i can try and snap the bugger? I'll try and take a pic
-
I know the things you mean. Asus use them too. I just made sure they sprung over the ps2 ports, rather than obstructing them. I think it's meant to reduce interference by grounding the ports.

i'll see what i can do tomorrow, i'll try and bend it backwards so its not to much in the way
-
You shouldn't really need to bend it at all. Just make sure it goes on top of the connector block
-
i cant its attached to the bottom of the connector block, sort of pointing forwards.

Did it bend when you first put the mobo in the case? Do you have a digi cam to show us?
