    Price Check: Dell Precision 530 Workstation

    Just wanted to know how much will this baby fetch now..

    Dell Precision 530

    2x2.0Ghz Xeons 512kb L2 HT (Prestonia cores socket 603)
    2GB ECC registered RIMM PC-800 (4x512MB RIMM), riser for 4 extra slots optional
    ATI FireGL 64MB
    2x36 Seagate Cheetah 10,000rpm SCSI
    + 1 big fat ultra heavy chassis..

    i would say in the 700-800 region.it would be the ram that is worth the most.

    I would have said closer to 350-450.

    It depends where you are selling it though.

    That was a conservative estimate however I genuinely feel it is about right for the specs you gave. A few things to note however are the Xeon's MP or DP?
    MP = Quad (and above support)
    DP = Single and Dual only
    There is a massive difference in price for these.

    The memory is no doubt the rarest thing in there and would fetch easily 100-150 on its own through eBay.

    Which model FireGL is it?

    The SCSI disk would fetch about 35 each on ebay assuming they are 68pin, if 80pin then about 25.

    Are the seagates in your sig included to?

    Like I said above it depends on who you would be selling to mainly. eBay is flooded with old CAD stuff at the moment (I am watching a HP Visualise RISC machine as we speak), not sure why.
