AMD 4400 x2 and DFI NF4 SLI-DR problems

All mobo's can be rather picky when it comes to RAM and the DFI is no exception. You've changed one end of the memory subsystem (i.e. the memory controller) so if you experienced any problems when you first installed the system with the Venice, you're probably gonna have them again now.

When I was getting mine together, the usual memory checklist involved:

Playing with the voltage of the memory sticks. an extra 0.1/0.2V can often do the trick
Try loosening those timings a little and see what gives
Drop the clock a little
Worse case go to 2T

I wouldn't leap to the conclusion that there's a problem anywhere, as these are normal symptoms of getting the DFI to work well.... even at stock.

Yep your right. I think its sorted now and its so simple.

My memory was in the orange slots which was best for my 3000 venice but no joy for the dual core. Swapped to yellow slots and hey presto.
