    How to know the type of PSU.

    I have a 250 watt psu how do i know what type it is and will a radeon 9550 work on
    a 250 PSU, also I need a pc2700 type of ram but I opened my computer and saw that
    the ram inside it was 6 memory chips I checked pcworld.co.uk for ram and they all had
    8 memory chips what should i do and is Jeantech a known brand of psu.

    Dont take this the wrong way, but it does not look like you know much about computers.

    6-8 memory chips does not matter, it only means more memory on one stick.

    What computer do you have? Got a link? Yes a 9550 will work but what are you upgrading from?

    Google CPU-Z for your RAM. For the PSU, look at the sticker on the side of it.

    No offence taken its the first time I opened a computer and i am still in secondary school but i dad said I could upgrade the computer I got a budget of 500 quid and my computer comes with a built in via graphics.
