Do a worldwide search on Ebay as there are plenty of sellers on there flogging IBM parts (and I know cos I have bought a few bits for various IBM thinkpads that I have fixed lol).
    AMD X2 @ 2.6Ghz, X1800XL @ 540/600

The part number for this is 39T0324.

Probably not what you wanted to see but with the price of that I think it may be cheaper to sell yours as spares or repair & look for a new laptop

    I know, a bit steep!!

I have used them before for Tosh laptop spares, but it was a while ago. IIRC I once had a Tecra 8200 board from them. It was just about the only place I could find one. It was around the £200 mark.

BTW, the Tosh board I bought was a current model at the time, not an obsolete product.

With the T43 being a current model I would expect it to be slightly cheaper than if it had gone out of production.

Hey Syfer thanks a lot for the help so far I think its an impossability of finding one of these IBM ThinkPad T43 Motherboards, I have found out the motherboard model 39T0043 which is the ATI X300 PCI Express Version,

Any more help would be greatfully appriciated.

i think the reason why it is so hard to find part's for ibms is that they are build so well.
