Stuff for New Build
I don't need to have the system ready for about 6 weeks but my parents want me to get some of the stuff now and leave MOBO CPU RAM and maybe GFX closer to the time.
It will most likely be a Core 2 duo System with a 6300 or 6400, with a 7600GT but I haven't decided yet as without OC AM2 is still competetive
So here's what I've though of so far from scan...
LN15198 AKASA Zen case - Black Silent Cool Midi-ATX Computing case w/2 silent 12cm fans & front I/O ports £31.71
LN11602 430w Seasonic S12-430 aPFC PSU Silent ATX2.0 £38.78
LN13582 NEC ND-4571 Labelflash Black x5 RAM x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer DVD-Writer OEM UK £24.79
LN12740 160 Gb Western Digital WD1600YD Caviar RE, SATA150, 7200 rpm, 16MB Cache, 8.9 ms £50.87
LN14778 Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music Sound Card OEM £56.58
LN5845 Microsoft Black Optical Value Pack V2 - Multimedia Keyboard & Intelli Optical Mouse £16.91
LN12009 Logitech X230 2.1 Speakers (desk or wall mount) 32W RMS £28.26
I will also need an LCD monitor for under £200 but I will probably start a seperate thread in sub-forum
Cheers in Advance, olie

I'd never recommend buying a PC in stages, mainly due to the way the prices move it is almost always going to be cheaper to do it all at once. What you've chosen there looks great. Would definately invest in a third party cooler for the CPU also consider a Hitachi HDD, they tend to do brilliantly in benchmarks.
EDIT: As for the LCD, my 19" Samsung 913N is fantastic and should be under budget.

Thanks, the reason I am buying it in 2 stages is something to do with a credit card rate my parents are getting but it doesn't last long so I'm just buying the parts that won't shift too much in price in a month and will work with either an AMD or Intel system.
I will probably get the Arctic cooler pro 7 but will order with CPU as I still might get AMD.
That Samsung definately looks like a good deal, 5* with 222 reviews on ebuyer :). And they chuck in King Kong for 1 p :D

i would say that the mobo's onboard sound would suffice to power those speakers and the x-fi is better suited to some higher end ones. Not to say that the x230s are bad at all, i got a set for a mate and they are brilliant for the price

also have you considered antec cases, they do some real good value for money cases that come equipped with their own high quality power supplies, how about this one http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/112648
