Soo Which CPU Cooler?

Ok before I build my pc tomorrow, I need to buy a CPU Cooler from SCAN

I have P5K Premium, Q6600 Lian Li PC A17 and the Corsair Dominator style ram,

Which cooler fits into this set up bearing in mind the mobo has half a copper mine in it and the memory is also huge?

Scythe Mine looks good on Hexus Reviews but what about the Scythe Ninja ? Which is better?

I would say the ninja is better and I think most reviews would agree with me. My main concern would be that annoying RAM you have gone and bought (tut tut) whether the big coolers will fit above it, I don't know..

Perhaps go with the thermalright ultima 90 but a nice 120mm fan

I think the ninja would fit as long as you don't use the RAM slot closest to the HSF but I might be horribly wrong lol.

well it is 2 x 2gb but I can change it although i went for the cas 4 stuff? p5k premium is a big board though? what are other corsair dhx users using?

The Scythe Mine is an amazing cooler. For the price there is no better.

Also I don't think the Mine would cause any problems with your DHX RAM but then neither would the thermalright ultima 90 which is the same price albeit without a fan included.

I bought some of the 3 quid yate loon 120mm fans from ocuk, replacing the standard lian li ones as we speak

Well I would second the suggestions of either the Thermalright Ultima 90 or the Scythe Mine both are very good and will be easily sufficient for your needs, and shouldn't interfere with your memory.

Ok! PC Built now! Im knackered all went well
Jumped into the bios. Running at 47c @ stock with stock cooler
Yate Loon Intake and exhaust @ 1200rpm
Intel Cooler @ 1800rpm
Top 140mm unknown

Pretty noisy atm. Great Case.

PS Is the Mine 120mm? Will a 1200rpm yate do the job on it?I have 2 spare

Ok the **** hit the fan today, literally lol.

Change the motherboard from the P5K to the P5E.

Nearly snapped the board after 2 hours of trying to install the Scythe Mine, eventually didnt get on so I left it.

Using Stock Intel Again Just installing Vista 64 bit , fitted 2 writers as well, fitted my DVD Drive Bezels, all is looking good, just need another fan recommendation as I Didnt want to mount this one sideways to avoid the pcb circuitry. Is performance the same when sideways? bearing in mind the PSU is directly above

Too many capacitators near the mobo kept popping out when i tried to push the 4th pin in

There is clearance for sidways mounting but dont like sideways mounting

The best way is to take out the motherboard.

The mobo was out lol, it was brand new out of the box there are some little like grey cube style capacitator things that the heatsink base is hitting.

Vista index gives my cas 4 memory 5.6 on the score, now in the bios it is running at 5 5 5 but it is the 4 4 4 pc2-6400 stuff from scan that is about 68 pounds? Any reason why?
