Had mine at 3.25 but it wasnt stable, i have a feeling is the ram setting's but seeing as i still havent managed to get it to load the 'secret' page i cant get it any higher. Had it at 3 stable as a rock though. Link to screenie here.

Edit: My DS3 would only overclock on latest F3 bios all other version would result in a system crash.

The Intel D975xbx isn't any better. When I first set up my system I had huge problems because the BIOS had got stuck in configure mode. Luckily leaving the battery out overnight fixed this, though I've heard from several other people who had the same problem with this MB.

Now that it's working I find that I'm stuck with a maximum 30% overclock, because my board is one of the new ones and has the IDT clock chip. I'm beginning to wish I went with the Asus, despite the problems I've had with their boards in the past.

What does the idt clock chip do, does it limit the oc?

It looks like it. Older D975xbxs had a clock chip made by ICS, would allow a 1333 fsb strap and go up to 50%. All the stuff I've read from people with an IDT say it can't go over 30%. Here's the original post by coolaler, who first noticed it, with pics.

[Edit]I've just discovered that SysTool allows pushing the FSB up above 30% on Bad Axe boards with the IDT clockgen. I got an FSB of 380Mhz (43% OC) with Vcore at 1.488 (measured in BIOS). Even with watercooling I have problems with CPU temp, so I'll be sticking at 30% with a much lower Vcore until I sort out the temps.
