Video in card - is there such a thing

I need a new TV card for my pc - except I don't!

All i need is to be able to connect the s-video and sound from my sky box, so i dont need any TV tuner at all, surely this should cost peanuts........as you can get a TV card that includes this for £20.

    Any thoughts?

you can, but look at teh quality and youll find its terrible.

what graphics card do you have? its rare to find a relatively new one that doesnt do video in.

if they dropped the tuner off a £20 TV card, they would probably save less than £1 so it really isn't worth it, most of that cost is profit margin for distributers and retailers and other production costs.

    Anyway, it's only £20
