    TV Tuner advice

    Evening folks,

I've a friend who is wanting me to reccomend him a TV Tuner for his machine I built for him - his requirements are as follows:

Single Tuner (doesn't need to be able to record one channel and watch another)
    PVR function
Freeview (is that avaliable on any cards?)

    Any reccomendations?

    Cheers,
    David

Work great for me and MCE compatible - You can add a second card later and use dual under MCE, also has PVR software or works with freeware PVR's like MediaPortal and GBPVR

As always, check compatbility and system requirements.

    Cheers

Depends on software really. DVB-T cards will all do whatyou want hardware wise. If they have BDA drivers then the chances are they will work with media center type apps (like Windows MCE and MediaPortal).

nebula Electronics produce a good card with good software. Bit more pricey than the run of the mill cards from Scan though.

As Funkstar says the Nebula is a great card and it's freeview also with regular software updates I use one with windows media centre.
