    New Build

new here on hexus so hello to u all,

i'm in the process of building a new comp (will be first from start to finish i've built and first time for a few years so things will have changed), and haven't yet settled on weather to go for a duo or x2 set-up. tend to be leaning to this though

Core duo 6300 or 6400 (hmmmming and arrrring to much)
Abit ab9 or ab9 pro (do i really need raid capability? i dunno)
    2Gb (2X1Gb) Corsair TwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC5400 (667)
artic cooling freezer 7 pro skt 775

newish X800XT (Courtesy of a mate for a reasonable price)

already got a new case and PSU

two questions, the psu only has one sata connector, and i want to run 2 drives, is there an adapter available to change 1 sata to 2 sata power leads or am i better off getting retuning it and getting a hiper 530 or 580 (both a good £30 more than i paid for this one).

and the case already has 3 fans in it, but they are 4 pin plug connectors and the Abit board aux fan sockets are 3, can u get adaptors for 4 > 3 pin or am i going to have to get some new case fans?

no need to return the power supply, you can get a molex>sata plug adapter from scan for less than a £1. With the case fans - get a fan controller, I had something from nexus and is suitable for fans with both 4 pin & 3 pin plugs, and allows you to regulate the fan speed
