Can anyone sugest a temperature monitor thing that will actually work with my motherboard (its an ecs rs482-m). Both MBM5 and Speedfan dont show correct values. (i think, is 60c right for remote, i'm not oc)

Oops, I think I need to read the original post a bit better next time!

turns out that program is no-longer free. any other suggestions?
if you mean the Everest proggy in the link, there is Sisoft Sandra which is similar and there is a free version

Come to think of it I think it might be my motherboard. When I look in the bios, the cpu stays at a constant 50c even if its just been turned on. If it is broken is there any way I can fix it or does it have to go back
Why do you think it's broke? when you turn the comp on you draw more volt = more heat and with the temps/humidity the way it's been unless you got uber cooling most people temps are up from the norm, iirc when in bios the cpu will be at full load.

its not too hot where i am and i have aircon. my case big and roomy and i have external fans. at times it hits 60 and shuts down!
Google "everest home edition", there's a MajorGeeks link that'll give you a download to it, no charge.
I love you man. looks like its working. I take it 39 idle is feasible?
Cool. Thanks guys.
With love and many thanks,
