How much are Dual-Layer discs nowadays?

Are they just twice as much as single layer discs yet?

I think i may finally have a use for them, and no, its not for copying dvd movies!

    How about a 5 pack of dual-layer Verbatim...for £1.97 :-)
    http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/sto...m=null&tm=null

The website said they didn't have any in my local store - but it lied - they had loads!

    Yup - bought 5 packs...25 Verbs D/L for £9.85 :-)
They are 2.4x which doesn't bother me as the 4 and 8x were £30 per pack of 5.

That is a good price, but personally I won't touch any +R media due to various compatibility issues. When it comes to dual layer discs the only ones I find to be acceptable are Verbatim DVD-R DL 4x discs, not cheap but much more reliable and compatible than any +R DL discs that i've tried.

well the PC World in Aberdeen didn't have any, not at that price anyway. :\

I'd be using them for data backups, so as long as i can read them in my burner, i'm not bothered how compatable they are
