Which Raptor?

Im going to get a raptor but i done know whether to get the see through cover or the normal one. the price difference is 15 more for the see through one.

Interestingly the see through cover raptor only has a design life of half the normal one.

What do you guys reckon?

Normal one, unless you want to see the bits of your hard drive in action, in which case go for the see-through one.

I vote normal, you won't be able to see the window due to how HDDs are placed in most cases anyways.

Unless you have an acrylic case which you can see everything in, there is very little point. Save yourself £15 and buy some cathodes or something if you have a window

time for your medicine? no-one said that the raptor with the window was any faster. its purely for aesthetical reasons

The real question is whether you should get 2, 74gig raptors and RAID0 them

Unless you have a case with a vertical bay for the raptor x (Thermaltake armour jnr for example). just get the windowless one.

i would love raptors, but i like a quiet PC so alwasy thought these would ruin the silence, are they that loud?
