Dell Inspirion 1501 - Any Good?????

Guys, quick bit of help if you can.
I have been trying to persuade a mate to buy into the whole PC idea for a while, and he has finally decided to buy himself a laptop as his first computer.
He spotted this in the paper, and im no lappie expert, but it looked quite good for a non - gaming machine. He wants to browse wed, ipod stuff, word process etc etc. Spec as follows:

    AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core TL-50
    XP media edition
    1024MB SD RAM
    120GB HD
    8x DVDR/W
    15.4" WXGA (1280x800)
    ATI Radeon® Xpress 1150 256MB HyperMemoryTM (integrated)6

    Up at £539.00.

Does this sound like a good bet, and It should run Vista ok I think???

    What do you reckon?

Should be fine - I'd look at the Inspiron 1500 aswell, though you may not get as good a processor in it...

(difference being one is Intel based, the other AMD)
