Abit AV8 & Max CPU Compatability?

Anyone know the max cpu this board will take, got a x2 4600 im hoping will work.

If not will just have to buy a new board.

It depends which rev you've got, and the HTT limit is really variable board to board..

If your AGP lock works, then you're probably looking at around 260-280MHz..

Cant comment much, but having owned 2 AV8s before, one hit 295MHz fine while the other wont budge past 280MHz.. the stability is alot more pronounced with different RAM modules..

The board should be fine with a 4600+.. 12x multi does mean something right? The most the chip will get you is probably around 240-250MHz on a good air cooler when the chip is not too limited..
    Me want Ultrabook
