    Quiet DVD DL Writers

    Can someone recommend some quiet dvd dual layer writers.

    Plextor drives come with a 'quiet mode' option. Not tried it myself. Claims to be almost inaudiable.

    I think the NEC is meant to be pretty quiet. Certainly stay away from Samsung drives, mine's quite a noisy little beast!

    NEC & PIoneer. Have had both in media PC's in the lounge (Currently a Pioneer). I also use AnyDVD software which has a setting to make it quiet during playback of movies & music disks
