I'm looking to building some intel systems, but I need to use a CPU that's going to be around for the next 6 months at least. I'm sure I remember reading a list recently of the pentiums that were for the chop - anyone know?

yeah, the e4xxx chips are going to be very nice.
I was talking about the E6300/6400 for £120-150, but yeah forgot about the E4x00 series! Hopefully they overclock like hamsters on steroids and they should fill in the £80-120 gap left behind by the Pentium 4's.
I read the e4s dont have vitualisation... what difference will it make?
From what i understand of VT it just allows a system to run two OS's at the same time, so it shouldn't make a difference if its there or not. The majority of home users will probably never need to or want to use it.Originally Posted by Kumagoro
