    shuttle cooling

finally been bothered to overclock this 2500 i have in my SN45G to 2.2ghz (3200+) at 1.75 volts.

I idle at roughly 50* with the fan on 'mid' in the bios and full load after an hour of UD i hit 58-59*. I have a few questions regarding cooling my miniature beast.

    1. Will the changing the fan on the ICE unit make much difference to my temps? I understand the noiseblocker series of fans are noted for their quiet operation but how do the perfom on an overclocked cpu?

    2. Is it worth considering cutting a hole or two for additional fans? If so where are the best locations.

    cheers

i would lover the volts i have my 2500 o/c to 11x200 and have the volts set at 1.55 and i have no problems i idle at 40c and load is about 47c.. i just cut the honey comb from the the back of the computer and drop the idle temps 3c and load temps about 3-4c.. if any thing i would put 2 60mm exaust fans above the ice

A Noiseblocker S4 will be quieter than stock & offer the same cooling perfomance as stock. I wouldn't advise using anything less than the S4 in your system!

Is there a slightly less expensive alternative?
