    Laptop Advice

My brother is thinking of getting the following laptop (link) and has asked me for advice as I have built a few pc's; unfortunately they were all desktops and i have no background in laptops. I am unsure about him getting one from Dixons and was hoping someone might be able to find a better deal for him.

    Any help appreciated.

Seems a tad overpriced for the cash. Dell's 6000 series offer a better CPU for less. If he's just wanting a laptop for uni work then there are loads of them from Acer and Dell that are going for between 3 and 4 hundred notes that will do the job just as well.

Dell are good. Might find some decent prices for them on http://www.dmxdimension.com/ - that site essentially "groups" together the best deals from Dell themselves; you'll find it always links back to the Dell website.

    Cheers for you advice guys.

My bro has gone for a Dell in the end, it seems like the best value for money providing you dont opt for the over-priced upgrades.
