SP-94 vs Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu ?
Evening all.
Am about to put together a new system soon and could use some input (again...) So far I've decided on these bits:- Antec Sonata case
- Epox EP-4PDA2+ Deluxe Intel 865PE (Rev 2.00) mobo
- OCZ PC4000 Gold Dual Channel 2 x 256 CL2.5 mem
- Samsung hd
Now I want to oc as high as I can @ 1:1 as quietly as possible! :D
So I can't decide between:- P4C : 2.8 or 3.0 Ghz
- HSF : ThermalRight SP-94 or Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu
Presumably to get the most out of the SP-94 I'd need a 92mm Delta beast - but I'd tame it with a Vantec Nexus fan controller. Will this be any better (cooling-wise) than the Zalman do u think, at similar volume levels?
Also, am I better off getting the 3.0Ghz instead of a 2.8?
I previously got a 2.6 going at 3.3Ghz 1:1 on an Asus P4P800 (non-deluxe) with a Zalman that keeps pretty cool (40degC at full load) in a Coolermaster 201. Might be tempted to put the 2.8/3.0 in the Coolermaster and move the slower setup to the Antec. I guess in the Sonata however I could leave the Delta cranked up a bit more...
