    Back to AMD

    hello,

The wait for the Intel nForce5 chipset is just waaaayyy too long, and I don't think they will release a non-SLI version (I'm not sure if I'm right, please, tell me!) which is what I want (save money), so I am going back to my original choice, the AM2 5000+.

However, I just wanted to know, does the nforce5 chipset for AMD work with the same features as the intel edition, or will the Intel one be better?

    Thanks!

Well for starters you are going to be waiting just as long for the 5000+ as you are for the nF5 Intel boards. Nobody knows when the 5000+ is going to be out, I've hunted and hunted but no luck, which is why the spec of my new rig in my sig is the 4600+ and not the 5000+.

    Sorry bout that mate.

Thanks for the insightful post david

To the OP, I don't understand why you'd want to massively backtrack on CPU speed just because you want a certain chipset.. what features of the NF5 can't you live without?
