Upgrade time..what to do

Right time has come to replace my SB81P

so far it either another shuttle or a MATX case and mobo

I am going to got can get a conroe E6600 (yep I am a intel fan...sorry )

things I will be keeping are

ATI X1900XT
2*250GB SATA HDD

So the question is...what matx motherboard should I go for..if I decide not to get a shuttle

Alternatives are few and far between at the moment (there's an asus board as well). Not sure either are properly out just yet either.

the asrock board would be my choice too used to be poor quality but as of late they have started making alot better quality boards and reasonable prices normally

I don't know any specific boards other than the asrock and asus, sorry. But I do that there *will* be some, that's just market sense, but not anything specific.

Remember there aren't even that many core 2 duo chips out there yet, it just takes a while for these things to build up and come out.
