20" tft
hey people, i am in the market for a 20" TFT and was after any recomendations?
i heard cpc said that the Dell 2007wfp wide screen was good and only £300, this or the NEC gx2 20 which i was looking into, since i already own the GX2 90 and i love it. but i cant decide if the glossy is good or bad :(
cheers guys

You from Bit-tech?
The Dell 2007FPW is the best all-rounder on the market. It has good everything-
Good panel
Good looks
Good egronomics
Great Dell service
All inputs you need
Thats my choice.
Glossy panels are known to bring colours out more, but if you have a window behind you or in a awkward place it will be annoying.
The NEC is the best on the market in terms of performance. But the price of the Dell and what you get makes it the best in my opinion.
I have VX2025, which I got for £240 off ebay.
Have you checked out the 22" new panels? You can get one for £280!

Noni - which 22" panels are you referring to? Thanks.

hey noni, yes i am from b-tech and overclock.co.uk
right so the dell is getting the thumbs up :) so if you could stretch for the NEC would you?
cause i am running the NEC 19" and its a cracker of a screen and im not fazed by the gloss
now i cant decide whether to go with a 24" or not. i will have £600 ish so the dell 24" is within reach. but then the native res is higher than 1600x1*** which will struggle my system i think ?
x1900xtx is what im running.
cheers guys

If you can afford a higher resolution monitor now, then buy it now. Don't go for a lower resolution one now just because you are worried about your general system (i wouldn't though if i were you, it looks fine to me). One day you will get better components, and your monitor will be there still, all good and ready for it. In the shorter term, if you really feel you need to, simply run at a lower resolution - the Dells scale really well. Simple :)

Your PC is fine for the 2405FPW :)
Most game will run at 1920x1200 with everything on, the rest you can turn some settings down or drop to 1680x1050.

Yep, your system will run a 24inch Dell fine.

If I had the money, I would still get the Dell. But if I had the money for a 24" I would get that.
