    Is it morally wrong...

...to give a Zalman cooler a centre parting?

Have just built myself a new Media Centre (Runing Vista RC1 - Nice!) and optimistically assumed that it would fit in one of Antec's new Chassis... It does, but only if you bend it slightly!

Fortunately, runs passively as seen, cooled by the two 120mm fans behind it. I can't recommend the Antec NSK2400 enough - £58 from OCUK including a decent 380w PSU. Whisper-quiet, takes two optical drives and two hard drives, tonnes of space and cable management options.

i'd chop the top edge off the uppermost fins and bend them back - like that you'll get next-to-no-cooling for the top 25%

Well I think it looks lovely. Much nicer than just hammering it down into a comb-over.

    Looks awesome, almost 'natural' looking

Having the fan on is handy for running with the case open - CPU is about 35 degrees case closed, about 50 or so with case open as the airflow over the cooler reduces. It means I can just plug it in If I want to run open for any period of time!

Heh, this way however, they might make contact with the case top and get some lovely heat dissipation

    Looking really nice though Woodchuck!

Might have to swap my P150 case for one of em

You have to be careful with the 2400, not many coolers fit! I had the extra headache of my mobo being tricky with coolers too. Ended up going through 3 arctic coolers before I found the right one. Lovely case though.
    Not around too often!
