Akasa fan controller
A mate has just bought an Akasa AK-FC-06BK which is a 3 dial thing that fits in the floppy bay to control the fans in a pc. It's all well and good but it doesn't appear to work, he powers on the PC and nothing happens when he turns the dials and the fans stay off. He tells me it's all plugged in.
Does anybody have one and know what he might be doing wrong?
Cheers.

has he plugged the fan controller itself in?
if so and its still not working, are the fans that he is using 2 wire ones? sometimes fans without the monitoring wire dont play nice with some fan controllers, but usually they just stay on full.

Just ensure eveything is plugged in, it sounds to me like he has missed something, the Akasa Fan Control Jr. is the simplest of simple fan controllers, just sounds like something isn't plugged in right to me.

Yeah I'd have thought it would be simple. It's a pain trying to sort it over MSN which is what I was doing. It seems though that the Soprano comes with some naff fans that don't have 3 cables, just the one infact. He's going to buy some new fans and use them instead. :)
Cheers for the info guys
