For freeview, you want a DVB-T card. there are loads.

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...Thumbnails=yes

Many of these have analogue input as well, but not tuners. Dual tuner cards are also available
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...=307&OrderBy=1

Or there is the Nebula DigiTV
    http://www.nebula-electronics.com/

Very good card with very good software, although you do pay more for it. They have some neat features and a decent software roadmap, if a little slow in getting there.

have a look at MediaPortal, a OSS version of Windows MCE. As long as the card has BDA drivers you should be set.

well ideally to get all the channels ur tlking about e4 ect ect you should connect the car to a roof airel then they work wonders, but i have found using them with the arials supplied they arent that good, so i would say get a decent one if you can connect it to the roof areal coz then they make for great tv replacements, but the signal is often crap with the supplied areal, dont actually know how to spell areal so 4give me for that tbh.

the ones i have used are freecom,

This may sound a bit of a daft question, but with a dual tuner card (digital and analogue) can you connect up a video player to the analogue connector??

    any good??

    cheers

yeah no problem with that. If your video has SCART, S-Video or composite video out then you don't even need a dual tuner, just one with an analogue stage.

Actually, composite or s-video should be higher quality that the RF output of the VHS deck anyway.

Definitely back the Nova-T from Hauppage, I paid about £45 - had great freeview reception and comes with a remote in the box. If you are using MCE as well then its fully compatible with that too.

Had heard they were developing a dual DVB card, and that it was going to be a pair of USB tuners and a USB to PCI interface chip on a card. Pity it costs more than a pair of USB tuners and an ariel splitter!
