    Does it look ok?

I've just tried to build my new pc and have taken a few photos to see if you lot think it looks all ok. Don't want to start it up when theres a blatently obvious error that im overlooking, which could damage something.

    the inside as a whole

    SATA hard drive connections

Another thing, i have the akasa mirage-62 case which has the USB connections on the side and, inside are the wires, but where do i plug them into?

    pic

One final thing. I got the 7900GTX as you can see and there was a PCI-e power connector with it, but i used the PCI-e power connector from the 500w seasonic S12, is it ok to use that rather than the one that came with the 7900? It looks the same as far as i can see.

Ok well thanks for any help,
    Chris.

Yeah using the seasonic PCI-connector is fine.

Your motherboard manual will tell you where your internal USB headers are. It's one of those little coloured boxes with pins in at the bottom. Probably the blue.

Just turn on the PC and see what happens, looks like eveything is ok.

I think your RAM might be in the wrong slots. Usually goes in two same coloured slots. Wont stop it booting and working though. It's for dual channel.

The seasonic S12 500w connectors are ok for 7900GTX - the card comes with the connector just incase the PSU do not have one (or two)

The pc looks ok, good look when you turn it on - I normally add bits at a time powering up just to check the build is going ok - I have had to strip a pc down and start again cause it just doesn't boot...

EDIT see you got a reply while I was typing - boy am I a slow Typist

You don't have any case fans by the looks of it - what CPU etc are you using???

It might get a little hot in there without decent airflow.

Do you have optical drives to hook up - it looks like you have a PATA cable high up but haven't plugged it in yet.

    Otherwise it looks good.

Let us know what spec your rig is now.

I don't have any case fans yet cos im waiting for scan to get the sharkoon silent eagles in stock. Ill be getting them when they come in on the 13th according to the site.

I don't know what you mean by optical drives. I have this sata one and i will use a 2nd one (IDE) that isn't connected yet. The grey thing at the top is from the CD-Rom. I mean i know how to install IDE hard drives and CD-ROMS so i didnt bother with those yet, just thought id ask the other stuff such as cpu and whatnot.

    Thanks for your help lads.

yeah you need the ram in same coloured slots.

the usb headers from the case go in the blue sockets at the bottom.

one other thing, unplug the CPU fan header cable, leaving the CPU fan where it is twist the cable round and round, this should spiral the lead and make it more rigid, therefore stopping the possiblity of the cable getting sucked into the CPU fan.

you will DEFINTELY need case fans- I personally wouldn't run it without - but thats just me (I have the Eclipse case with the golf ball fans - tis excellent.)

very good - much better than the 120mm Akasa Amber fans I used to run.

Mind you my 3.4EE is watercooled with a Corsair Nautillus system - so its actually the loudest part of my system now.
