Is the 7950GT the best single-slot gfx card?

I know the 7950GT is a claimed "20%" increase over a 7900GT making it nvidia's best single-slot cooled card, but is there anything from ATi?

    Thanks,

X1900GT, about similar to the 7900GT so not quite as good as the 7950GT.

No, the X1950XTX is, or the X1900XTX.

ATi like there big coolers. Unless you plump for water cooling the 7950GT is your best bet.

I thought the cards ranked in the following order?

    1.) X1900XT
    2.) 7950GT
    3.) X1900GT
    4.) 7900GT

But the ATI's are hotter and suck up more power than the nVidias.

The X1900 doesn't have a single slot cooler, and a 7900GT is a faster than an X1900GT and the 7950GT is faster than the X1900XT(depending on game)

the 7950GT is an underclocked 7900GTX so just get an X1900XTX underclock its bios, flash it and install a single slot cooler and there ya go
