Thread: Laptop to Plasma via DVI & HDMI, worked but isnt any more.

    Laptop to Plasma via DVI & HDMI, worked but isnt any more.

    Got an issue with a laptop that just 3 hours ago was outputting via DVI -> HDMI.

    I've not seen this setup so am just looking for a brainstorm of things to check.

    - check the cable at both ends
    - check the TV is set to the 'computer source' (DVI/VGA/HDMI)
    - check the resolution of the PC is one that is supported by the TV (right click on desktop > properties > settings tab)
    - make sure the refresh rate is set to something the TV can handle (I have mine set at 75hz)
    - not ideal, but if they have an old monitor with a VGA cable, it might be worth checking to see if that works
    - make sure the output on the laptop is set to TV/PC Monitor (FN key & F5 on toshiba laptops)
    any more suggestions?

    It's just a suggestion, i dont have HDMI, just giving them an example of something to look for...

    Check the laptop is outputting to the correct video output.

    The major problem is their Yanks, and theyre insisting they havent changed a thing
