Do you need a monitor with the base-unit Mama?

@ Cotswold - Easiest thing to do might be to take a screenshot of your Excel List and then upload and link to it.

    Thanxs for the replys guys

No NightshadowUK i wont OC well at least not for now.

yea FatalSaviour i will need a monitor but i am happy with 17"

the budget is small so i will use my previous PATA for now
i also have an external dvd burner so dont worry bout drives i will buy them later on.

I really like case looks and the 2 x 120mm fans helps, i had a look at your build cotswoldcs looks great i am a intel/ati fan so... in scan website some guy said the mobo only support 1 internal sata and 1 external sata so check it out if it might be a problem for u

However it may be better to get an e6300 cpu and then get a 20" dell 2007 widescreen for £300.

Also i dont know what you need in the way of XP but if u use ur old HDD then simply remove the HDD on my spec and add XP home OEM on and it will work out about the same.

    ok what about this?

    LN15198 AKASA Zen case - Black Silent Cool Midi-ATX Computing case w/2 silent 12cm fnas & front I/O ports £26.99 £31.71

    LN11602 430w Seasonic S12-430 aPFC PSU Silent ATX2.0 *New Version RoHS £41.99 £49.34

    LN13080 Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro - P4 up to 4.4GHz - S775 Dual Core / Core2Duo Ready £14.95 £17.57

    LN15451 MSI P965NEO-F, i965, S775, PCI-E (x16), DDR2 533/667/800, SATA II, ATX £59.89 £70.37

    LN10408 1Gb (2X512Mb) Corsair TwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC6400 (800), 240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 5-5-5-15 £83.64 £98.28

    LN15049 Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 S775, 2.40Ghz, 1066Mhz FSB, Conroe Core, 4M Cache Retail £185.49 £217.95

    LN15606 256MB XFX 7900GS XT, PCI-E (x16), Mem 1400 MHz, GPU 480 MHz, 20 Pipes, HDTV/Dual Link DVI-I £126.39 £148.51

    LN12840 19" Viewsonic VA902 Silver/Black TFT, 1280x1024, 8 ms, 600:1 , 250 cd/m2, £121.89 £143.22
    Net Total £661.23
    Carriage £16.91
    V.A.T. £118.67
TOTAL £796.82 i need to add XP to this price

i dont like msi that much but the i965 chipset and DDR2 PC6400 support changed my mind.
Since i am not going to OC the E6600 and the XFX XT seems a better choice to me
i am a bit funny with monitors dont like then too big so 19" is more than enough.

    So what u all think?

Here's a better spec for you (and it'll O/C easily past e6600 speeds)

Akasa Zen Black - £27.73 (CCL, in stock)

400W Enermax Liberty Modular Series - ELT400AWT - £46.87 (Scan) - Compact case so use Modular

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro - £17.57 (Scan)

    Asus P5B Deluxe - £129.24 (Scan)

    Corsair XMS2 2GB PC2-6400 - £176.24 (Tekheads)

    Intel e6300 OEM - £117.48 (Scan)

256MB XFX 7900GS XT - £148.51 (Scan) - Not too savvy on Nvidia cards so left this up to you

    HannsG HGHW191 19" Widescreen TFT - £129.99 (Play.com, free delivery)

Total = £793.63 (not inc. delivery costs)
