    At8 32x

    Hey guys,

Helping a friend overclock his system, running a AT8 32X. He can't get the memory running higher than 220fsb, despite being PC4000. Now, in the bios we've come accross 'ddr reference voltage' which I have absolutely no idea what it does (or even what part of the memory it refers to). Can anyone gimmie a helping hand?

    Cheers,

    Dave

I don't think that anyone has really worked out what that actually does on Abit K8 mobos - the 1 thing that I read that sounded plausible was that it allowed a voltage boost on boot.

Best place to go is the Abit-USA forum & make sure that you post a full spec. list.

Yea, were struggling to get a 146 to 2.7 even with decent ram/divider.

They aren't all great particularly the later ones.

I don't know what stepping it was, but it doesn't seem to be getting overly hot in the processes, so who knows
