    Hello.

Could you tell me which mouse is better for gaming, cord or cordless and why?

no difference these days but would still go corded jsut for peace of mind. depending on ur budget though. If u buy a 20 pound wirelss mouse ur gonna abe looking for trouble in game. Logitech G5 or G7 are VERY good mice, im using the G5

Logitech MX518 or wait for the re-release of the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 (both are corded and excellent).

just lost my dear and trusted raptor m2 which was a very good mouse (think the contacts on the scroll wheel were shot).

so either that or the mx518 which is my new gaming mouse, the only thing i found with the 518 was that i had to turn all the senseitivity/acceleration settings to low eg. button 4 to lob a 'nade, but instead of lobbing the said 'nade i was doing some stupid robotic dance with the 'nade landing on my bonce - but all is ok now.

so to sum up raptor m2 or mx518

i'm using the MX1000 and it has been great.

Corded vesus cordless seems to be a love hate relationship - I personally hate having a cord, others hate having batteries in their mouse. Just a difference of opinion really, as they have got to the stage where the wireless ones are as accurate and as lagless as the corded ones

I have Logitech MX510 and apart from the black paint on logitech logo came off, I'm happy with it. But MX518 would be better choice because of much higher dpi.

Any of the high end logitech wireless mice are great, got an MX1000 right now and love it. Prefer it to my old corded mouse, by a long way. Used to be lag problems with wireless mice, but that was using infra-red, most use RF now, no lag and no signal problems.

Yep, definately get a wireless mouse - theres no need to buy corded anymore, theyre a thing of the past.

Almost any branded wireless, optical mouse will be good for gaming. Preferably one with a charging dock

Depends if you prefer the convienience of not having a cable to restrict where you can put the mouse or the convienience of not having to charge up a mouse.

I like both to be honest - for work I prefer cordless as I can shift the mouse to my left hand or to a different surface easily. For gaming I prefer a corded mouse because when I'm doing marathon sessions I don't want to have to remember to charge my mouse up before hand.

I know one of the Logitechs comes with hot swappable batteries. MY MX1000 last for about a week between charges, and i dont game for that long at a time

Have to admit being caught out a few times though, running toward a tank in BF2 and suddenly realising your mouse is dead aint good.

Yeah length of time between charges doesn't help me - it just means I forget to charge it at the end of the week or whatever

Wireless mice are great, the only thing i find agnoying is changing the batterys. I play alot of games so its gets abit agnoying when my mouse starts to die in a game of battlefield 2.
