Where to get a replacement chipset fan? (ASUS SLi Deluxe).

    Hi there,

Recently went to a relatives house and while doing some ebay stuff noticed a very loud noise coming from the case.

A closer look showed it to be the chipset fan of a Asus SLi Deluxe. Its going mental!

Anyone know where I can get a replacement? Unfortunatly he got his PC from a friend at work who was moving so no warranty!

Where can I get a replacement? I looked everywhere on the crappy Asus website and could not find anything.

    Thanks.

and then theres also the trusty zalman passive heatsink, about 3-4 quid, but you do need a bit of airflow to keep things moving

Nah, I doubt the zalman will work in his case (the card overhangs it). Thanks for the suggestion though!

Thanks very much for the links! But I hear Asus send the replacement chipset free of charge and the revised ones are supposedly much better.

Any email or anything like that I can contact them with?

    Thanks.

If You google the fans part number there maybe a firm over here, thats if Yer from the UK mind, that might have the very same fan, if You dont want a 3rd party HSF. Try http://www.selwyn.co.uk. Hope its helpful.
