Best PSU in terms of performance and money..

Hello I have what appears to be a defective Xclio 600w PSU and I'm not happy with its performance either. Could you recommend a good PSU that will not put a hole in my wallet. Something below £80 preferably lower and which will not make me deaf. Thanks for the help

    Tagan TG530-U15 (530W) - £65.67 @ Scan or Enermax Liberty ELT500AWT (500W) - £68.14 @ Scan, if you want to go the way of Modular PSU's.

I'm thinking of getting this one to replace my Antec.

Some Seasonic models seem to have problems so I'm going to avoid it personally.

Problems may be sorted in the new revision - not sure if Scan have these yet.

According to Scan's website the Seasonic 430w is listed as:

430w Seasonic S12-430 aPFC PSU Silent ATX2.0 *New Version RoHS

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=256335

I like the sound of "*New Version" although I have no idea what RoHS means. I do hope this is a good PSU as I have my eye on one for my next system build.

    Any idea anyone?

Is that a manufacturer's claim? These are usually higher than the actual tested efficiency IIRC.

I think the ROHS means it's environment friendly (greener). Seasonic have high efficiency anyway.

Which of those above mentioned PSU are British make? I'm saying this because I have just sent out my faulty Antec to Holland and it cost me 26quid for the postage! So I want to avoid foreign make for my next purchase personally. Support people were really helpful though.
