Does the P5W DH Deluxe say it's running in Dual Channel at POST?

    Hi

I've got a matching pair of 1GB Geil PC6400 DDR2, but on bootup my Asus P5W DH Deluxe displays the right speed and size, but no mention that it's running in dual channel. Shouldn't it display some sort of confirmation that there's dual channel memory or something? My old A7N8X on my Athlon system did.

Can someone(s) with dual channel DDR2 on a P5W DH Deluxe please tell me if yours displays "dual channel enabled" or anything similar on bootup?

    Thanks

Hmm - I have set the use SPD to manual, added the correct 4-4-4-12 timings myself, and set the right speed to DDR2-800. All I get is the test up to 2048MB, and it says PC6400, but no mention of dual channel.

Now that's odd. I had hoped it just didn't say. Maybe I should try the other channel...

Changing the channel fixed the problem? I need to remember to check what mine says tonight.

I didn't change it at all. But when I had the case open I gave both modules a bit of a push to make sure they were seated correctly and they already were.

To be honest, it may have said "Dual Channel Interleave" previously, but I am confident it didn't say it on at least one occasion. I don't really think I've fixed anything but I'm going to keep an eye on it every time it starts up. I'm using the orange slots.
