Ram prices - what is going on?

Damn, should of kept hold of the sticks I had a bit longer, could of gotten more for them, or maybe less people asking for them cheaper than I was selling them...

Well it seems Ram is the new oil... i actually went to cardiff looking for DDR2 and most shops only have bellow PC5400.

i am puting together a new system based on the e6300 chip, ram prices are kiling me, its actualy the most expensive thing in my pc.

Not sure if i should get 2gb average ram for £170 or just buy 1Gb Good ram and wait for prices to drop.

I d go with buying 1 Gb good quality Ram.Thats what i did and my system is just as good

Just got a new mobile cant really afford a 2GB right now, will stick with 1Gb corsair ram from Overclockers.

I haven't looked at the DRAM market until recently, what sort of price was 'value' RAM before this price hike? The combined price of 2GB of DDR2 and a new motherboard for a Conroe is making me think about just upgrading my 939 system and waiting until next year .

I only know about the price of the PC3200 Corsair Value RAM (2x512mb) because that's what I was following (before buying second hand RAM)

It was £66 but now is £83. Not massive but still a hike.

Seriously though, have a look at some second hand, or keep an eye on the offers kicking about, ive seen some pretty good bargains this week.

can you link us hexus members to these ram bargains then.
