    AMD stock hs/fan

Does anyone know how loud, in db, is the stock fan on an anthlon 64 is? I want to buy a new fan but I need to know how loud mine is in comparison.
    With love and many thanks,

I'm pretty sure http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=382308 thats the HSF AMD ship with most of their processors.

Specs say 26db. If the fan is actually loud enough to hear most of the time then you might have an older version/worse fan.

I might get one. The problem is its for my recording system and the noise my computer makes is noticable. As some of the programs I use can get things pretty warm as it can be running full load for about 4-5 hours.

A fan controller might be a worthy investment too then. It'll let you run all the fan very slowly while reording. Should still be cool enough to run.

I recommend the Arctic Cooling - Freezer 64

As cool or cooler, quieter and cheaper.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
