    er... SATA?

I'm halfway through building my brothers pc and I have got to the hard drive. As I have never instaled a sata hard drive, could someone tell me if i am suposed to plug in both the sata power cable AND the regular power cable (4 pin one).

    Thanks.

Edit: the motherboard manual doesent say.
    With love and many thanks,

You only have to plug in one of them

Doesn't usually matter which one, but if your PSU has a 5 cable SATA lead, then I'd use that one .

Just to confirm though, you should never plug in both at the same time.

    lol.

The build is a mess so far. I cant be bothered to screw all the screws in on the mobo, how much does it actually matter?

Not a lot really, provided its in securely.
    It helps with grounding though.

If screws in the mobo are holding you back, you've reached a new level of laziness
