I use SpeedFan and it seems to report a similar CPU & case temperature to the BIOS.

I use MBM via my samurize config, to give me core, socket and case temp's. This uses the Bios directly I believe.
    Rhyth is selling:
Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 XR Di ll LD Aspherical (IF) £230 +pp
    Canon 50mm 1.8 II £50 +pp
    Proven good copies.

I use EVEREST Pro edition , shows all the temperatures and voltages, and its seems to be very accurate, but they all seem to do a good job

    check temps , onload

    Idle

Man I was biting my nails every second it went through prime , in the end it was stable .

How it all started ,Click link

    http://www.day187.f2s.com/phpBB2/vie....php?p=120#120

It will slowly come together in the end. A380 has this huge 250mm fans , two of them

This whole temperature thing is a way too much for me. If you look at the temperature chart advised by Intel and Amd I personally think they are exaggerated.

The reason I feel this way about the whole thing is the laptop 65nm cpu's ,whilst they can withstand 100c and our desktop can withstand only 65c , how is that possible?

The pentium D was a hot CPU and a 65nm cpu so why did that have a greater threshold than core2 duo?

The reason I think is its business and unlike you people who still have there warranty I don't and I am going to get to the bottom of this. If it burns out In the next 6 months i will buy the E4200 in the next and test the waters on that.

I want to learn and I am willing to pay the price for it. If the HSF is not touching hot then you know the temps is always going to be less than 60c.

It has this ther trip or something like that which will automatically shut itself down when it goes past a certain limit. I will fill you on how it runs for me .

    Best thermometer is your fingers.

MBM 5 is one of the best programs out there and widely regarded as being one of the most accurate. The mobo list is out of date, but you can still configure it to report the temps properly

Wouldnt it have been better to take screen prints than actually take a picture of your screen :S

I use MBM5 no problems at all and it seems very accurate.

I've got Speedfan, Everest (the nagging trial version), Sandra, PC Probe II, RM Clock, and Core Temp. They're all free downloads. If you try them all you can see which match up with which for your system. I tend to run Core Temp just to monitor the internal temperature, and Speedfan if I want to monitor the other readings. RM Clock is good for checking the actual clock and throttling of your processor, but it gives a high temperature reading that doesn't tie with anything else.

The one question I'm yet to see conclusively answered - what's the safe limit for what reading? I know Intel have spec sheets saying the Core 2 Duo can go up to 60.1degsC - but which reading does that apply to?! I've seen Core Temp readout 70degsC on both my cores just from extending Prime95 testing and without overclocking at all...

I like to treat it by the die family it belongs to and take it from there and use that as a guideline , Its not good for the enviroment for everybody to be running there c2d at 3.5ghz and 1.45vcore , but I reckon it can withstand more than what intel has told us .
