Mixed opinions
In general I avoid non-well known brands, so I would see if you can do some research on who actually builds these machines. My XClio for example is actually a CWT built unit that's basically an antec true power PSU. Otherwise check that you've got good amps on your 12v lines, and that you've definately got some good shut down features so that if it does go belly up it won't damage anything else.
I ve been thinking about this psu to 600W Tagan Dual Engine TG600-U25 Sli Ready PCI-E SATA EPS12V what do you think?

what system is it powering why not go with a safe option that you knwo people have and dont go wrong, i have heard of peples xclio psu making loads of noise and things and i wouldnt buy a lesser known brand as said above.
if its gotta be around 600w then i would say hiper 580 type r many people including me have one and its great and has been for a year neally now and its 60 quid, oh and it looks great in blue
The Tagan is a much safer bet. Its a well reputed brand and should remove any worries about stability you might have. I would def go for the Tagan
its abit more expensive but your right i might get it just to be on the safe side

save some cash and get that looks ten times better too
its SLI though and my motherboard isnt (SLI P5b-deluxe) will it be alright?
that just means its sli certified meaning its powerfull enough to run two graphics cards, and nvidia have tested and agreed with hiper that its got the power
obviously it depends what graphics cards your running, but it should be fine if your running a very high end single card
Here is what my system will be like:
(Its the Asus P5b deluxe)Motherboard:http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=443853
(Its the Gforce 7950 GX2)Graphics card:http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=408901

And my cpu is a Pentium 4 3.00Ghz
Do you think that 580 watts will be enough?
Thanks
yeh to be fair that xclio u were going to buy probably doesnt put out a full 600w anyway, but yeh it will be just the job and as i said they are neat and tidy and are great value
I ve seen the one you listed it looks good what do you think of this one:

not ad i just dont see the point of paying 20 more quid lol. the enermaxs do have there faults as i seem to remember in custom pcs psu test they didnt do to well, at the end of the day 20w is nothing in the grand scale i mean its not going to mean your system does or doesnt run lol
the psu you listed is 580W, do you think my system will operate well with 580W?
Thanks
yeh i know it was, but the enermax u listed was 600 that 20 wil make no differnce and yes it will be fine with 580w
