    Quieter I say!

So I've just replaced my Akasa Amber case fans with some Sharkoon lovelies but forgot about the 80mm Amber on my Evo 33, safe to say it's now the loudest thing in my system.

    - So I was wondering if anyone had replaced the fan on their Evo 33?
    - Should I go with one or two fans (one on each side)?
    - Is it worth while replacing the fan or should I just go with another cooler altogether?

    Thanks.

2 sharkoons in a push pull config should do the job, if your lucky you could buy/bodge an induction kit (like for a tumble dryer) and use an adapter so you can have a 120mm at the end pulling the air through

Won't the Arctic Freezer 64 Pro be better than the Evo?

If you're thinking of replacing the fans, which Sharkoon's are you thinking of? I have the 80mm 1000 and it pushes hardly any air (I can feel a small amount) but it's very very quiet.

Which Sharkoons have you already bought (I have the 1000 rpm 120mm)?

The artic 64 jobby is one of the best coolers out there and @ 5v it's dead quiet. It's cheap too

Otherwise the daddies are the Typhoon or the XP120.

If your gonna stick with the Evo 33 then get 2 x sharkoon 1000 otherwise I would worry about the airflow :s

    Easy to install too.

I got two 120mm Sharkoon 1000s and a single 80mm Sharkoon 2000 for the PWM area.

The 80mm 2000RPM is ace, it pushes a good amount of air and is extremely quiet. Think I'll go back to Scan next week and get another for the Evo, see what the temps are like and if needed get a second at a later date.

NightshadowUK, CustomPC rate your select of Sharkoon fans highly (http://www.custompc.co.uk/custompc/l.../products.html) the 120mm 1000 and the 80mm 2000 were their best picks. They didn't rate the 80mm 1000 that high though.

Looks like you have some good quiet fans in there!
