    Need to buy a mobo..from scan..TONIGHT

Hi there Guys -need help deciding on a 939 board ...from scan..in stock...tonight. I just want something stable...no quirks...something that will take my x2 3800 to 2.5 / 2.6 (which i know it can do) with not much fuss.

    Scan seems to have these:

    either a gigabyte nf4
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=437671

or the abit or asus NF4 sli numbers:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=273376

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=311465

They're all fairly similar price and features - what i need ot know is what you guys will know - are the voltage tweaks there, is the bios nice - does the NB cooling work etc etc

or should i save £30 and just get meself another dual? Is the NF4 chipset really that good?

Thanks guys, any helpfull comments are much appreciated!

The Asus A8N Sli Premium and Abit offerings offer great performance, and silent operation.

I would go for one of them, they are good, solid boards.

I'd recommend the Abit KN8 SLI - great board, and better support on the web than ASUS.

Thanks for the responses guys - didnt notice the Asus sli premium is meant to be coming into stock tomorrow.... 8 sata and heatpiped chipset look sweet... but the abit does come in £16 cheaper....and i do agree with scrand that abit are a better company..

    mmm

anyone else have any thoughts on these boards?

Mine clocked my Opteron 146 to 2800 on the 133 memory divider @ stock volts (1.4V). Currently running at 2400 on 1.2V for a very quiet, yet still overclocked system. I hope you have success with it - I really like mine.
